If I hear Donna Dees-Thomases-Schumer-Feinstien-Boxer-Clinton use the phrase.....

COMMON SENSE one more time, I'm gonna barf all over my TV or computer!

"common sense" says that "instant" is 3 days!

"common sense" says that crack dealers will put a trigger lock on a stolen gun.

"common sense" says that criminals will obey the laws.

"common sense" says that an inanimate object is the cause of all gun related tragedies.

Where can I get some of this common sense? It seems to work pretty good for the antis. Do I need to get slapped upside the head in order to reach this level of common sense?

the CCRKBA web site uses that phrase also.

But I am sure "common sense" means different things to everybody.

These bored housewife therapy-cult types are so nuts that they don't have the common sense the Lord gave an animal cracker.

This somehow qualifies them to twist society so that it fits into their therapy cult.

I wonder what some of these people would do in a situation where they have children and Dad is out on a business trip and there is a burglar coming around. Son never played baseball. No baseball bats around. Mom never cooks. No frying pans...they are...helpless...nothing...The deadbolt kicked in and there is nothing to defend themselves with. I betcha in the final seconds of that moms life she wished she had packed some heat somewhere in the house!

Oh come on, Bigglesworth! Everyone knows that "a gun kept in the house for self-defense is 43 times more likely to be used to kill a family member." So "common sense" will have your victim say, "Oh well, at least I went with the odds!"

Barf phrase #3 = " ... in the wake of the Columbine shooting ... "

They also keep saying they want "Background checks for gun purchases at gun shows." We know they are referring to private transfers, but they say it like no background checks of any kind are taking place at gun shows.

Everone is not understanding what these people are really saying. It must be a hearing problem that the public is having. They are saying "Commi Sense". Don't you all hear the same thing. :)

Goebbels' old KISS approach. Repeat the lie over and over and . . .

I think the antis call a meeting, decide on which buzzword or catchphrase to use, and then go into action. They might even have free trips to Hawaii for those who repeat it the most.

I've noticed how a word or phrase will be
spoken by some Democrat in Congress. Then it spreads like wildfire, with all of them repeating it like a mantra, working it in every possible sentence. Just as if they were programmed. Then it's repeated in the lackey media.

Sometimes I grind my teeth in grudging admiration of this tactic.

Don't forget Gore's "risky."

RI-SKY (ri-skee): adv. (1) an act or action not first espoused by Albert Gore. (2) any act or action proposed by the Republican Party. (3) absolutely any action which would produce a result.

Hey, we've been listening to them spew forth the exact same "line of the week" for what ever topic they were talking about for almost eight years! You folks should be used to it by now! :)

They must be linked together mentally, like at the their rear ends!

Wolf: That's all Bill was trying to do with Monica. It was his "common sense" approach to the problem.

jcoyoung,

AMEN BROTHER!

Gee, and all this time I thought that 'common sense' came from 'common knowlege'

Silly me...If it were knowlege they wanted, they would be behind teaching our youth about firearms safety.

Silly me again...If it were safety they were concerned about, they would be welcoming any and all safety educations programs (Eddie Eagle for example) instead of being NRAophobes by burying their heads in the sand. (I had to clean up that last line ;) )

Remember, just because you are not paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you!

Poor Thomas Paine. He wrote a fundamental book entitled "Common Sense." It inspired our Revolution. I wonder what he would think about the use of this phrase in politics now?

Thanks for the replies guys. The truth is that I would rather put about 30 .223 caliber holes through my computer or TV when I hear those Oh so Popular Words. But another truth is that I need my TV, and I must have my computer.

I would like to just ignore all the stuff the antis say, but you know the saying: "Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies even closer".

We will someday be near the point where we will just ignore what the antis say and sit in the dark stroking our AR15s muttering "let it come...." I do not look forward to that day.

You mean you don't already do that?
