Well I have seen pictures of it twice. Once in Guns of the Old West and this month in The American Rifleman!
Yes it's the little Ruger Bearcat Storekeeper!
A sweet but pricey little revolver.
The little Bearcats are on the small side, small all over including the trigger guard (my only complaint) but they wouldn't look right if it was bigger.
Size=wise it's the perfect take-along gun, small enough for a pocket while hiking, even better in a nice cross draw holster! Out of the way while fishing, yet handy fir vermin.
As a plinker it'll shoot a little wider over distance due to the short bbl, but it's not a hunting gun or long range blaster. The little Lipskys Special is best suited to plinking at reasonable ranges at reasonable sized targets. As a personal defense revolver, six LR would tend to chanhe any bad guys thunkung and it could dispatch a good sized feral animal in a pinch.
I already have plenty enough rifles and Pisrols but if I wanted to buy just ONE MORE just for ME, this little one would be it!
Strange,I used to think of the 22LR as an almost free cartrige to shoot but today, at sometimes 10cents a shot, you need to ask yourself do I really want a .22? Well with this one the answer is , Yes!
