If all pump shotguns are the same price, which one would you buy?

All shotguns are sold for the same price. Which one would you buy?

I think when most people buy things, they consider price to be one of the most important factors.

I personally think all firearms will be sold for a set price later this century.

So let's just pretend that all the pump shotguns in America are being sold for $200 a piece.

Which one would you buy and why?

I'll list some popular shotguns in the poll.

Also, be advised that when I say 870 series, I mean everything from wingmasters to express to slug guns, etc. Unless specified otherwise, I am talking about the brand in general.

Browning BPS

Bottom ejection, safety on top of receiver, cast neutral stock - fit and finish / but I'm not a tactical guy ....with shotguns.
 
I'm not in the market for a pump gun but if I was I'd definitely go for the Browning BPS. Looked closely at one a couple times and almost bought one just because I liked the way it felt, the way it looked, and the bottom eject too. Plus, it's a Browning.
 
There's no wrong answers on that poll. All of those shotguns are good'uns.

It boils down to personal preference.
 
Mossberg for the ambidextrous design and John Moses Browning patented receiver. However, I'm not familiar with the BPS and from another post it may also be good for lefties, so that might be my choice if I knew more about them.

Mostly I care about the safety. I don't want to guess whether a button needs to be pushed left or right. The Mossberg is simple and intuitive: push foward to shoot, pull back to make safe.
 
I said 500, but I might go for a BPS. That would be really difficult. I really love the efgonomics on the 500, especially the tang safety. Does it have the rack safety or whatever it is called the new 870s and 500s have? Thing annoys me.
 
I'll be greedy and go for a Winchester Model-12 in 28-gauge. A custom shop letter grade Remington Wingmaster wouldn't be bad, either.

Regarding which of the two, Mossberg or Remington shoot the best, shrugs shoulders, I have both but never fired either. Both of mine are in the 18" barrel Home Defense models. I'm not a fiddler, that is to say I'm not big on fiddling as in fiddling with the 870 slide release clutch, wrong place, awkward to reach/access, seems to me to be a poor choice for a tactical firearm, albeit I'm no expert on the subject, just applying some laymen's common sense to it. I also prefer the design of a rear drag adusting on a spinning real rather then reaching forward with fishing line pulling out fast trying to tighten, or loosen it, some designs just seem better thought out, to me,then others. After a full night of beer aswillings, I prefer a zipper over jean buttons also...again, it's all got to do with easy access in a pinch, so to speak, well, on the subject of pinching, that's the one drawback on zippers, especially if one's n a hurry and a little tipsy, OUCH! LOL

Do you have any prejudices against a nice new-in-the-box-old-stock Model-12? Enough cash and they come out of hiding.
 
I have a Wingmaster I've been using since the 1970s. I have five other shotguns but that is my only pump and I'm not likely to buy another. So that's my vote. ;)
