IDPA Safety Question

I've only been to a couple of matches, but when done with a stage, you're required to remove the mag, show clear, and "drop the hammer" aka dry fire. I don't have a problem dry firing my Glock, M&P, or XD, but what about CZ's?

On guns similar to the CZ, what is permissible? Can you do a manual hammer drop (ease hammer down while pulling trigger), or is that a no-no? Is a decocker model better in this regard? Will dry firing hurt a CZ?

I don't see where dryfiring will hurt a current CZ any more than any other you name or than actually shooting it. It never affected mine.

You are required to dryfire the hammer down just in case you and the SO have failed to see a round in the chamber at "show clear." In that case "hammer down" by pulling the trigger would fire it in a safe direction.

Decocking or easing the hammer down is not permissible.
The few guns that do not hold up to dryfiring are seldom if ever seen in IDPA. CZ52 and Star come to mind.
