HI all!! In IDPA they have a Power factor of 125 this is fig as bullet wt in grains x speed in fps / 1000.... as for 38 spl 158x800/1000=126.4 now that is a very high speed round in 38spl... My rounds from a reloading co are running 825-850 at the base of +p from a 4" barrel. Is it ok to shoot a M&P 60rds a week with this load???
Thanks
Bobby

M&P durability

I'd say you'd be well within the gun's design paramaters with that load, and should be just fine. We shot tons of hot .38s & .357 through these old K-frames back in the 60s-70s, and while you CAN shoot a Smith loose/wear it out, I wouldn't expect problems with a load at that power level.
