I will soon be receiving my first custon 1911, and was thinking of trying out IDPA, isntead of just plinking away at the range by myself. Anybody know where I could hook up with a group in or near silicon valley, ca.?

This is a crazy question - You have probably already checked, but just in case you haven't....

They list the clubs on this site. You may be able to find one close to you.

I did check, but there wern't any nearby clubs listed. I thought maybe there might be a new unlisted one, or just formign one nearby.

Give the Cal Rifle & Pistol Assoc. a call. I'm sure they can help.
