I trying to identify a 600 or 900 series revolver, but don't know which one specifically. It has a 5.5 inch barrel, 9 shot .22 LR cylinder which can also use a .22 Mag cylinder, and a wood stock. It looks very much like a western revolver. I have a picture I can send anyone who might be able to help, but it's a .jpeg, and won't post here. Can anyone help me specifically identify the model of Harrington & Richardson revolver for which I'm specifically looking? Please feel free to email me privately if you might be able to help. Thank you very much.

If all blue finish, a 949, if color case hardened receiver, a 976.
I can find no reference to 9-shot H&Rs being convertible to .22 magnum. All the convertibles in my books are six shot. Do you HAVE the magnum cylinder? That would cast doubt on my references.

Can you describe it in good detail? Most sources say the convertibles were all 6 shot. I wonder if it is a 9 series at all. Is it even H&R? Could it be Iver Johnson?
