Identifying a Colt Walker.

Hello All,

I need some help with a colt walker I just picked up, the price was too good to pass on. The serial numbers all match, it says Made in Italy on the barrel, just above the wedge it has US 1847, there is a PN on the front of the cylinder and a shield with either crossed arrows or two hands shaking also on the front of the cylinder. No other markings except the serial number stamped on every single part.

Thanks in advance,

You could try posting some pictures - there may be some feature that somebody will recognize. Also, take off the grips and see if there are any marks on the frame there.

It should have at least a logo on it somewhere. It should also have the proofs on the frame and a date code. It's not a Pietta, they never made a Walker. It's possibly a Uberti or ASP(Euroarms), maybe a Palmetto.

Hello everyone,

I found a very faint stamp on the frame that says S MARCO I'm thinking it means Armi San Marco. No proofs on the frame but there are on the cylinder, can't read the year. On the cylinder where it says patent number it has the last three digits of the serial number. It's a beast of a pistol and I'm itchin to shoot it.

Thank you for your help.
