I’m trying to identify several rounds & casings. 1 says T 9 A 78 about 2 3/4in, another says EW 42 about 2 3/8in, the next I can’t read well, looks like 7.9 T.C 1945 fs. it wont let me add pic

Ammunition is generally described by bullet diameter, case length, and the country that used or introduced it. So, measure the bullet diameter (if the bullets are still in the cases), and the case length and diameter at the base.
Just guessing without photos, but:
* 7.9 TC 1945 is most likely 7.92X57mm, AKA 8mm Mauser. It was used by Germany, Czechoslovakia, Serbia and later Yugoslavia, Persia later Iran, Egypt, Turkey, you name it.
* T 9 A 78 is likely 7.62X39mm ammunition.
* EW 42 could be 303 British

The T 9 A 78 is 7.5x55 Swiss.
The E W 42 (sure about that?) sounds too short for a .30-06, but too long for a .30 Carbine, although it it probably one of those...not a .303.
The 7.9 TC 1945 is definitely a Turkish-made 7.92x57 Mauser round.

EW is the headstamp used by Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Ordnance Plant in 1942-43.

I don't believe that they manufactured anything other than .30-06 ammunition.

"1 says T 9 A 78 about 2 3/4in, another says EW 42 about 2 3/8in"

Sounds too short for '06, in comparison.
