Ideas on removing accents

I have a canik/ tristar c100 and it's a great gun. The finish is I believe a black mollycoat I think any way some of the lettering on the sides of the gun are traced in white. The gun is great but that lettering is horrible looking on it. Does anyone know of a way to just remove the white lettering and not the finish? Thanks.

Did you buy the gun new?
Looking at the images on the website the lettering is black.
Someone else may have liked the look of white lettering and done it their self.
If so, it might be relatively east to remove.

If it's factory, your best bet might be to find something to put over it.
If the lettering is at all detented that should be easy to make look decent.

If not, your best bet might be to duracoat the whole gun (~$50 for everything you need to DIY)

If it's just paint like that commonly used on white outline rear sights, you might try something like fingernail polish remover or acetone. Just be careful to try it on an inconspicuous part of the gun first; I know those chemicals don't hurt bluing but I'm not sure about mollycoat.

It could even be white grease pencil ("Phano" marker), in which case, WD-40 will dissolve it and it will be easily cleaned with a toothbrush.

I have used white grease pencils in the past to fill in lettering to make it stand out in a photograph for insurance purposes.
