Ideas of a SBR

Hey guys,
First post here, hope im not ranting on an old worn out topic. I am looking for a new short barreled rifle and wanting your imputs on type, brand, etc. any ideas and discussion would be great.

right now I am looking at the FN P90. its small and compact (20 in overall with a 10.3 in barrel) but i dont know anyone who has one, nor do i really know a lot about them. another thought is simply a shorty AR. I have looked at the Rock River PDS system. thought i could do a 7.5 in barrel and a folding stock. Ruger also makes a similar rifle using the same system. Eventually ill proabaly add a suppressor. I know that adds a lot of length but i can take it on and off as i want. but thats mostly just cause ive alsways wanted one. :D

any other thoughts on shorty rifles? any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

No SBR but I do have an AR 11 1/2" pistol. The big disadvantage I see is the noise factor. If you go suppressed, that problem is negated. My pistol has decent accuracy when scoped(no open sights) and adequate with the AimPoint now mounted.
I wouldn't spend a lot on something like this but the one I have was taken on trade and well below market value of the individual parts. Mine is more of a curiosity than a working firearm but it does have a niche useage. I have a vertical grip on the railed fore end containing a light/laser combo and keep this gun next to my bed.

Colt 6933. They you get the complete rifle but also the lower is registered from the factory as a SBR lower so you can switch to a 300 Blackout upper whenever you desire. :D Oh wait, that's what I am doing.

HMMMMM I just looked at th AAC 300BLK PDW 9" AR. thats a pretty interesting round. I liked the gear scout that was on AAC webpage. I wonder how that runs with a 7 in barrel? It is a bit longer than i was looking at though, but still worth a serious consideration.

I love my 11.5" pistol AR. If I lived in a free state I would SBR it and suppress it.

Even without a stock it pretty accurate at 50 yards off hand.

mabe a shortend barrel (7.5") with a foldable stock would be alright. I emailed novenski to see what they could do.
keep the ideas coming guys.

I like rifles and I like pistols. Even like carbines. I don't like rifles with pistol barrels and pistols with rifle barrels.

I want a rifle barrel to be at least 20 inches, (except for my M1 Carbine). Thats 20 inches for an AR style rifle, for 308 type, 22. Hunting rifles 24, target rifles, depends, I have some that go as far as 36 inches.

I figure if I'm in a spot where I need a short barrel, I'm better off with a pistol/revolver.

But thats just me, others may have different ideals.

I have a 7.5" AR Sbr. I like it well enough. I also have a 8" 9mm AR and I like it well enough too. Then there's the Kriss Super V. .45 ACP Carbine. Fun rifle.

I like the Pistol Caliber Carbines much more. They're easier on the pocket book to shoot, and with a suppressor are super quiet.

If I had to do one TODAY, I would probably build a .300 BLACKOUT 8" SBR in the AR Flavor.

Yeah. Maybe that's the project this year........hmmm.

I'm terribly partial to the Uzi.

Sounds about like a .22 lr with the can on it. Can hear the bolt cycle and bullet hit with 158 grain ammo. I can also give the 12" 100 yard gong a good working over with it.

If I lived in a free state I would SBR it and suppress it.

I too live in the same State and while a SBR & sound suppressor is not legal here one of these are as far as I know. Neither a SBR or pistol.

Just a thought.
