ID needed on a little rifle (.22 cal)

Does anybody have any history/value on the following small rifle:

Single shot, .22 cal, bolt action, with a pull-back cocking knob.

Marked as: "Anciens Establissements Sieper. Herstal-Belgium Brevet 284243 S.G.D.G. Patented Dec 16, 1919"

It has some other inspection stamps, "22L" and a ser number on various parts.

I think that is "Pieper". The firm made thousands of guns of about every kind, including inexpensive little .22 rifles. Their location was, as the marking says, Herstal, Belgium, a suburb of Liege.

Those guns are not of too much collector interest and are too cheaply made for real use. Most price guides don't even list them. A nominal value would probably by $50 or so.

SGDG is French and means "sans garantie du gouverment" or "without the guarantee of the government". AFAIK, it it was required only in France, and may indicate that the gun was first sold in that country.
