IAI M1 Carbine, H110 and 110g FMJ

I'll be picking up my new IAI M1 carbine later this week. I've already got the dies, powder H110, primers (WSR) and 110g FMJ bullets. The Hodgdon 2001 Basic Reloaders Manual states not to load under 3% of max with its H110 powder. The max load for my M1 is 15g so I was going to start at 14.6g but while browsing around I found folks saying 14g is the max load with 110g bullets and H110. Well 14g is a lot more than 3% if Hodgdon's manual states 15g. Any suggestions? Thanks.

This questions may be better addresses in the reloading forum. In the meantime, I will look in my reloading books for any help they might offer.

14gr of H110 under a 110 FMJ with Win or CCI primers is the load I've been using for a couple of years now, works for me. Don''t have any of my load books handy to see what they say about max loads.

Thanks for the replies. If you go to the Hodgdon site at http://www.hodgdon.com/data/index.htm and get the "2001 Basic Reloading Manual" it states 15g max and the preface of the rifle section says bad things can happen if you reduce H110 by more than 3% of max. It says to start at 10% under for all other powders however. Should I stick with the Hodgdon powder/Hodgdon manual data and start at 14.6g? So confusing!

Speer #13 also shows 14.0 grains H110 as max with a 110 grain bullet. I use H110 in loading .357 mag carbine loads and you must use magnum primers to get a complete burn. H110 is a little harder to get going. Great powder though.
