I won a Win. 9410 tonight. Anybody share their thoughts?

Just when I thought the world couldn't get any better. Bush wins, Daschle loses ... I go to my monthly membership meeting at the club and I win a Winchester model 9410 (lever action 410 shotgun).

If you have one or know about this firearm, let me know what you think.

I can do one of two things with it.

1) Sell it NIB and set the money aside for something on my wish list.
2) Enjoy it. Use it for Deer hunting, playing at the skeet field etc.

What say the board? How would this work for deer hunting with slugs? It only uses 2 1/2" shells.

My Dad also won one of these.

He is just sitting on it hoping that it's worth something in the future. He hated the cross-bolt safety and therefor won't use it (old school buy).

I think it's a great gun for certain uses. If it's not for you I would either sit on it or trade it off. I think they will increase in value though since .410 have in the past. Nothing is sure though.
 
I think the Marlin has the crossbolt safety. This is a Winchester and it has a Tang mounted safety.

I found out the wholesale cost on these is $430 I'm going to try to sell it for $400 and use the money to by a new pistol.
