I went to a gun show today and Henry followed me home.
I picked up a brand new in the box Henry Golden Boy in 22LR. He looked so handsome on the table with his brass and his octagon barrel that I couldn't resist and the price was super. I sure hope he shoots as good as he looks.

My gun show find was good also

Have fun with your Henry.

Last week's gun show was successful because I accomplished what I set out to do. Traded a little used combination rifle/shotgun for a 1958 Winchester 62A in very good condition. Always wanted a slide action .22.

I have heard and read that Henry rifles are very accurate, do any of you guys have one that and either confirm this or not ?

Hello rebs,,,

I purchased the basic H-1 Henry,,,
.22 LR lever action.

It was an awesome performer,,,
But I sold it after a month,,,
It was an ammo waster.

By that I mean I was having so much fun jacking the lever action,,
I was just shooting fast and not aiming the gun properly,,,
I think I was having a fantasy "Rifleman" moment.

I do believe it was as accurate as a carbine length rifle can be,,,
The action was definitely smooth, that's for certain.

I've been working on teaching my 2 grandkids to shoot every "type " of gun... including bolt, semi, etc... and next is lever action. They can't wait until I get one....and it will be either a Henry or a Marlin. They want the Henry.
