I Was Visiting The NRA Museum At Bass Pro Today And Had To Chuckle

I stopped by the NRA Museum today at Bass Pro (really, really nice place by the way) and had to chuckle just a little bit at their newest display. It's a display of firearms with serial number "1". At the top of the heap was a Sharps Model 1870 in 50-70 with serial number "1". I work my way down looking at each of the guns and the last one is a S&W Sigma in .40 S&W with serial number "1". I had to chuckle a bit. It just seemed so out of place to me, but it fit the display parameters.

On a side note, they have some really cool stuff to look at. I was checking out a Schofield that was once owned by Jesse James and currently on loan from Jim Supica.

Thanks for the mystery-teaser review. Not having remembered from the NRA magazine articles, I have to ask you which Bass Pro is this museum located in?

It is indeed in the mothership of all Bass Pros in Springfield, MO. I think it was a great move for Johnny Morris to team up with the NRA to get this here. It brings in a lot of traffic for the store for him and I get to look at cool guns for free.
