I want to see a new picket sign against the MMM....

This is what I envision:

A large sign, with the words "The banner of the Million Mom March" at the very top. Right underneath, the flag of the old Soviet Union.

Anyone out there that can make that up? We should make signs with that on them, and picket every MMM meeting/event. I think it would p*ss them off to the point of apoplexy. Kewl.

Dennis: Heck, no! Get that sign, AND THEN MARCH WITH THEM! (And hand out some of those "Gun free home" window stickers while you're at it.) You know what the news people are like; They'll do a number on you, and report that the anti-MMM marchers were communists, if they see anything among the counter marchers that they can portray that way.

Would preffer one with the MMM logo on top and a picture of a concentration camp victim being marched to the showers for their own safety.

Does anyone remember Prohibition?? Wasn't that an issue largely pushed by "Moms" and "Wives"? Oh what a success that was. (sarcasm)

How 'bout a sign that says "Remember Prohibition !"

When the Million Moron March occurred here in Portland, Oregon on Mother's Day, I was there. My wife and I counter-marched. We had signs made using pro-gun poster graphics from Oleg's website blown up to poster-board size. We also had one sign which read "MMM = KKK (Groups Opposed to Civil Rights)". The signs were printed on hot pink or bright yellow posterboard at a local copy shop.

They _really_ stood out amongst all the crudely hand-written signs (on both sides). The MMM = KKK sign especially got a lot of attention from the MMM crowd, some shocked, some angry. It also got my lovely wife interviewed on a local television station.

They were _very_ effective. Total cost was about $20 for four or five signs. The MMM = KKK sign, in particular, put the MMM on the defensive for a change. Anyone who wanted to argue had no legs to stand on.

IMHO, fence sitters and anti-self defense gun bigots don't get any references to genocide. They simply see that as a radical paranoia on our parts - from their perspective, it will never happen here. Same is true with constitutional arguments in my experience.

I much prefer to hit people with self defense arguments. If I can bring them around on the logic of self defense, then it tends to open their eyes to all of the other logic as well.

Use what works for you. I've simply decided that the other arguments don't work well, and sometimes close minds further.
