I want to learn tactical rifle shooting...

Can some of you recomend a good book that a beginner can read in order to learn tactical shooting? All my shooting has been with handguns and I'd like to learn how to sight and adjust a scope for windage, distance, you know what I mean.
Being in the military I've learnt how to control breathing, shoot from different positions, and all the other basics. I just have no clue as to how to properly use a scope.

If anyone knows of a website that I can go to and download some training info that would be great.

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Check out the Go Go Varmint Go BBS at varminthunters.com.

Not "tactical" but hey, they're trying to do the same sorta thing, and often do it better. You may also want to check out snipercountry.com.

I am halfway through the comprehensive book, "Ultimate Sniper" which I must have purchased at a gunshow.

Written with the police and military sniper in mind.

Author: Major John Plaster

Plenty of rifle courses around, I am sure.

Ask the moderator Erick, You will shoot your eye out. Seems the sherrif Dept can do as they please and edit what they want to suit them. Be very careful with that Red Ryder, Erick may take it away.
