I want to build a custom 10/22

I want to build a custom Ruger 10/22, and I am looking for a place to buy just a stainless steel receiver. Can I buy one by itself or do I have to buy the whole rifle?

SS receivers can be had ala carte. Try Brownells, they have a few selections. (Some SS, some Al alloy)

AMT made SS 10/22 recievers for a while...

I'm looking for one (a whole gun probably) with little luck...

Other than that, your stuck with stock Ruger or M.O.A from Brownells- maybe Voltquartsen? The M.O.A. looks nice but then you need every other part to complete the rifle.

Maybe start with the SS Ruger and go from there and try not to think about it... That's about where I'm at.
