i want peep sights like the s&w 15-22 has on my ak47.

Have you seen, or read about Tech Sights? The peep might be the size you want. It is not the largest or the smallest size.
My SKS has the higher-priced version because this type is fully adjustable, and the old sight does not even compare. The better sight distance is only one improvement.
The front sight hood forms a nice inner ring for the new aperture, allowing the post tip to be quickly centered.
My only regret is not having bought it much sooner. It is a different rifle.

Krebs custom has a replacement peep sight that I use.

I tried the Tech Sights for the AK and didn't like them, so I put the Krebs peep back on.
The tech sights will take aftermarket AR15 peep sights though, and I had a XS sight systems dual plane aperture, which included a fairly large ghost ring. The stock Tech Sights apertures are probably not big enough for what you want.

I could not tell when I was centered in the aperture. My head was moving around as I kept trying to center the front sight in the aperture, and keep it in exactly the same place. When the aperture is right back at my eye, as in the AR-15 etc., then the centering is something that just sorta naturally happens. Not so when it is out on the front of the receiver.
I saw a used AK-47 Tech Sight at last weekend's gun show in Puyallup WA. It seemed quite well made, but alas, doesn't fit my Yugo AK. It was suggested that I buy it and then get another AK to fit it
Thus do gun collections grow.
