Took out my .30 Luger. Dang, it is flat and fast. Too bad the makers don't chamber this in more 9mm's. Just have to change barrel. Same mags work. Make a good handgun huntin load.

Was shooting at little bitty things on a muddy hillside. No drop at all.

Interesting!

I expect there are a lot of .30 Luger guns in the world, but relatively few imported into the U.S. For instance, it seems to me that Beretta makes--or at least used to make--a version of the Model 92 in .30 Luger (Model 98?). I wonder if they've ever been imported here?

For my part, I have a .30 Luger BHP. It's a very fine gun, but apparently scarce in the U.S.

there is a very nice looking 30luger bhp at a shop near me....has white grips of some kind on it, but other than that the gun itself is clean........there is some interesting shapes that arent on the std hipower.....they want $500 I think, also they have almost a full box of 30luger---are ya ready for this.....$35...yep no joke...fubsy.

I hear you, I would love to see it chambered in more pistols. What I would really like to see is someone make conversion barrels, specifically for the Hi-Power. I have a Walther P5 that I brought back from europe that has an extra barrel/locking block chambered in .30 Luger. It is a nice shooter, it just has an extremely short barrel that limits the performance of the .30 Luger(great muzzle blast though).
I think a barrel to convert the BHP would be a great thing, I whish someone would offer one for sale.

Somebody over on the makarov.com discussion board had a Hi-Power converted to 7.62x25. It looked like a nice conversion and he said that it shot well.
