I want a new toy

Just held a NAA Arms .22 LR mini revolver!
What a neat piece of workmanship! So amall yet it really works!
I had bought another BP revolver for fun, but it came in terrible condition (new Pietta from Cabelas), the cylinder wouldn;t turn, the hammer wouldn't cock! It went back for a refund, besides I already have 6 BP Revolvers anyhow.
I want something NEW!
The NAA .22 LR Mini Revolver just fits the bill!
I have a few derringers, a .38Spl, a .22 lr and a BP single shot . all fun though I have fed hundreds of .22's thru the little one! What fun!
The .38 is slowly catching up with the discovery of a 96 gr bulleted "squib"!
However, I gotta admit I pour lots of CB Caps through the little Davis .22. For popping cans and stuff, it's like a Cap Gun that really shoots!
I think the NAA could be the same fun but 5X as much!
How many of you own one of these and do you enjoy plinking with them?
Now, for the "real" question.
Am I intending on using this NAA for defense?
Hopefully not. I have a Pet Model 36 for that and a Beretta Model 21A for discreet carry.
I really prefer the .Chief, stoked with Horniday S/D loads!
I would not hesitate to employ the little NAA if there were no other choice.
the real task of the NAA is for plinking and plain fun at the Gun Club.
I looked at the NAA Site and saw that they mke a C&B version! I can't imagine shooting that little "Black Stuff"! and a .22 cal ball? what do ya use, tweezers to load it?
Well I always admired these little revolvers and since I made it to 65 yrs, who's gonna tell me I can't have one???
Please comment on these little revolvers for me as I am really interested in knowing about them.

I bought one - the short 22LR. I like it a lot.
It's so small I can put it in pretty much any pocket - even if I have a wallet and whatnot in there as well.
I don't carry it much, as I do have better tools for the job, but it's nice to have it as an option.

It's more accurate than I expected. I can hit soda cans pretty reliably at 10yds or so if I concentrate. It's remarkably fun.

And at $170, it was hardly a risk.

I just bought one at lunch today. It has the swing out grip with a clip on it, and 22 long, and 22 mag cylinders. with 1-1/8" barrel
I got it hoping my wife will carry it, because she won't carry her other handguns.
She has a Colt Detective Special, Walther PPK/S, S&W Model 637, and a Ruger LCP Coyote Special.

I ordered another one without the swing out grip for myself. with 1-5/8" barrel

Another guy with a short one here

I decided that if I was going to get a tiny little revolver I would get the tiniest. They only make the Mini Revolver chambered in 22 short on a limited basis so I put myself on the notify me list at a couple places. Bud's Guns came through with one a couple months ago.
It is a lot of fun, but I must say accuracy is lacking. Even at very short range. At least with mine it is. Probably 6" low @ 10' using Remington High Velocity 22 short.
The problem may be with me getting used to this itty-bitty gun, and learning how to shoot it accurately.
As far as SD carry, I doubt I will. But it does fit completely unnoticeable in the watch pocket of most of my pants. With the safety notch between cylinders for the hammer to rest in, and a very deliberate force needed to clock the hammer it is the only gun I would consider carrying in a pocket without a holster. As far as the 22 short for SD, in a very up close, and personal, face to face situation I think that little 29gr. pill moving along at near 1100 fps could very well change an attacker's mind.

I've had two of the mini revolvers in .22lr. They are beautiful, well made little guns. There was just one problem, I couldn't shoot them worth a damn and eventually traded them off. Recently, I was looking for a little fun gun .22 for plinking. I really like the Ruger Bearcat Shopkeeper, but $500+ was a bit more than I wanted to spend on a pocket plinker. Then I found the NAA Sheriff. The larger boot grip was far easier to hold. The 2 1/2 inch barrel actually gives me a workable sight radius. It's chambered in .22 mag, but I bought the one with a .22lr conversion cylinder, all for about $300. Can't wait to try it out.

I've sold only a couple of the NAA mini's but I agree that they are incredibly "Neat" for lack of a better word. For that matter I have heard nothing but positive things about the company and their service.

I considered the smaller minis but they were just too tiny for me to hold securely or shoot accurately. I did "settle" for a Black Widow, which has nicer sights, larger grips, and a 2" barrel. It's still a very small firearm, quite a bit smaller than a J-frame, but much more capable in my hands than the smaller minis. I got the one with both cylinders and carry with .22 Magnums. I consider it one of the finest small firearms ever made.

My 1 1/8" bbl. .22M one is well-made but, to me, not at all a plinker-type pistol due to the obvious inaccuracy of SUCH a short barrel. For me, it's a tiny and light last-chance up-close backup pocket gun.

They are kinda fun... but for plinking I'd surely go for one of their longer-barrel options.
