But once in a while i need something and can't avoid them. I buy the bulk of my ammo on line. Yesterday I needed some Hornady Critical Defense in .45. So I went to the store for the Hornady. A young man was standing next to me looking at guns in the case. The young man asked the clerk. "Are those good bullets". Yes he said bullets. And the clerk said. And I quote. "You bet, these are hollow points. They make a hole going in like that". While forming a small circle with his thumb and first finger. "And a hole like this going out". Using both hands to form a circle the size of a softball.

Now this should put to rest once and for all several points of contention among gun enthusiasts. You need no longer ask questions about stopping power, the .45 is the best weapon this side of a cannon, and Hornady expansion is amazing.

I know these things to be true because I heard them from an expert.

In his defense I've never seen that particular clerk at that store before. It's possible he went there as a first round draft pick from the kiosk at the mall.:D

I love gun shops but you see crap like that sometimes. The worst I ever saw was the Marine Exchange annex atCamp Lejuene. They have a spouse hiring program. Of maybe 8 people working a well stocked very diverse inventory, maybe 2 new which end of the bullet flew out of or had ever fired a weapon of any kind ever lol. Its sad when every customer at the counter knows more then the people.behind it lol.

^^I'm wondering that too:confused:

"OMG, he said "bullets" instead of cartridges!!"

"OMG, the clerk made bit of an exaggeration!!"

"I must run home an make a thread about this on TFL!!"

Really?

Must we really nit-pick every little thing?
Is it the desire to push others down so we feel higher?
Is it a desire to puff out our chests and prove how much we know?

Relax, you'll live longer

The point was simple. To relate what I thought was a funny story. Many people encounter gun store employees who pass along the wrong information.
And I'm not interested in puffing anything. I also fimd myself perfectly relaxed, though I do appreciate the medical advice.

I think a better question might be why we feel the need to comment on something we don't understand. just move on to the next thread that interests you. Relax you'll live longer.:D

Hey, you put it out there for comment. I commented.

I was wondering why he "needed" Hornady Critical Defense in .45?

Are those the only thing that works in his gun? Walmart FMJs would never even hurt anybody.

"OMG, this guy made a thread on a free internet message board that I signed up with voluntarily and don't have to read. I think I'll post a sarcastic response so I can feel better about myself."
