I took the plunge...new Glock owner

Well, I caved. Went to the range tonight, and my favorite gun dealer let me trade the SIG P239 for a brand new Glock 19. I love the SIG, but now I am at a loss why I didn't get a Glock earlier. First impressions: the thing is sturdy, simple, tough as nails and great to shoot. It doesn't need to be babied like the SIG in terms of wiping smudges off etc, and its simplicity just knocks me out.

This will make a fine CCW package, I think I'll be carrying the G19 more than I did the SIG. Maybe it's just because I don't have to wince every time the frame gets a scratch. This thing is so utilitarian, it's awesome. Even the box is sparse and no-frills--gets the job done, though.

I love it! The next time I have slush funds freed up, I'll get another SIG, but for now I am happier with the Glock.

If you don't miss your Sig, you must have done the right thing. Good job!
Hope I like my 17 that much when it finally gets here.

Congrats, youll also like it that you can fully strip the gun to its (cheap) raw components with a small punch or an allen wrench.

Battler.

Hey I just got one not to long ago myself in .357 sig and love it.Its a blast to shoot and pretty accurate. It only took me 5 or 6 years to change my mind about the Glock. I had been a true 1911 fanatic still am but realized there was more to life than them and the single action army .

Yep, Glocks are good guns. I have had half a dozen in the last year. Alas, the ergomomics just aren't for me and I got tired of sending the frames in to ARS. I went back to 1911 style pistols but I am a huge Glock fan. I am just disappointed that they don't point well for me.

This will make you sick. I was out shooting my Springfield Ultra Compact when my neighbor showed up with a G17 he bought at the gun show (out in the parking lot). It has Mepro night sights, one 10 rounder, and two high cap drop free mags. The pistol is almost new. He got it for $375.00 individual to individual with no paperwork.
