I took the dive

My first revolver. I have several SA but I really wanted something to hunt with. This should drop anything that swims, flys or runs on 4 legs. Now I just have to wait out the delivery and permit.
.460 S&W with 10" barrel

I have 2 permits coming. I will probably also look for a blued model 27 for more frequent shooting. Or maybe something of the wall like a mosin revolver.

I have a 8 3/8 S&W 460. I love it. I know a lot of members bash it but it is extremely versatile IF you handload for it. I only use 460 cases and just down load them. I load 300 grain LSWC at 1200 fps to 300g XTP mags at 1900 fps. I am still experimenting with it. I'm going to try some 360 or 395 grain flat nose bullets next.

It's a great and versatile platform to load for. They are just BIG guns but that does not bother me. I love hunting with it but got skunked the last two years in California.

If ya need recipe help just PM me.

I only get to hunt PA for sure every year but my luck has been fair over the years. I will definitely continue to bring my 30-06 rifle for a few more years until I am completely confident at 150 yds with a pistol. Right now I wouldn't try a crack at a whitetail over 50-60 yds. I plan on scopeing the XVR. Thinking a fixed 4x or 6x Leopold. Any recommendations?
