So this is really stupid, I know, but given that the rear sight on my GP100 winds clockwise to go left, and that my Eclipse target manual doesn't even bother mentioning the adjustable sight...
I figured that there are certain conventions in the world, and clocks and screws and faucets tend to operate the same.
So a few weeks back my new Eclipse is grouping left, so "naturally" I start winding counter-clockwise a couple of notches at the time.
Long story short, a few trips to the range and many sight clicks later my sight is crabbing completely to the left (and this does not register in my thick head) and yet I still have to aim at ridiculous compensation levels.
Duh. So happy that its not me I start unwinding the sight back somewhere close to zero so I can start over. I got it almost straight now but still a bit to the left and there is quite a bit of resistance on the screw, so I don't really want to force it.
It is almost as if it went so far left that is having a hard time coming back to zero, never mind starting to go to the right.
So is this recoverable? Is it a matter of taking it apart and reseating it or something like that or do I need a new one?
