I Scored a Classic

I scored this little pistola last week. I'd been looking for an [Interarms] Walther PPK (not PPK/s) in stainless for quite some time now so you can imagine how exited I was to call and locate one at a LGS that was only 8 miles away. Apparently, the owner had just placed it on consignment. These pistols are becoming more and more scarce and the ones found in excellent condition typically demand a price approaching $1000.

Mine comes in it's factory configuration including the original vintage silver padded case, an extra factory finger-extended mag, factory test target (matched to the firearms serial number), instruction manual, bore cleaning rod and the original sales receipt for the transaction that took place in 1987. It also has a nice set of aftermarket wood grips.

I got it at very unexpected low price. I still can't believe it.

I can't wait to take it out to the range.

THANKS, everyone.

I think the stocks are Walnut. Not sure, but I believe they're made by Hogue. Truth be told, I like the factory thin plastic grips better, for concealment.

Takes me back to my youth! The first handgun to ever make my hand bleed! ;) Summer, 1988.

Sure is a pretty pistol and you take a very skilled picture I might add.

First off, amazing photography. Second, that is absolutely beautiful! Everything appears to be mint, even the box. I would say well worth whatever you paid for it. I'd have to say the wood grip is my favorite.

THANKS for the nice words, everyone.

It's easy to take a decent photo when the subject doesn't move. :)

Wow, that looks like it's in perfect condition.

I've been searching high and low for one in .32 ACP, and haven't even come close to finding one that is (1) in decent condition, and (2) affordable.

Nice

That is very nice but my PPK/S - S&W is very hard on my hand when shooting. I can shoot about 1/2 box of 50 and I have to stop. But it is the most accurate of my .380's. I don't think I will ever trade mine off or really sell it.

I plan on taking mine to the range this week-end. Already bought the ammo. Also planning to attend the gun show with the hope that I can get lucky and find an older PPK in blue, at a decent price.

A Man can Dream. ..

BEAUTIFUL! This one is on my list of must-haves for sure... Admittedly, for a 380 it is big, but it is such a GREAT looking gun. Wow, jealous. Grats :)

Congrats on a beautiful pistol. As Obi-1 said "A weapon from a more elegant time.

Enjoy IT!"

PS - Nice original grips but the wood panels definitely would be my choice.
