We left early this morning around 7:30 and go to Indy around 10:30. There was already around 300 people and growing. Little by little more and more people kept coming in.
We met a lot of the candidates and they actually took time to speak to us. It was their aids that kept telling them to keep moving on. David Mcintosh who is running for governor spoke to a guy for about 10 minutes and his aid said hey lets go, he said back to him I'm not done yet.
It was a big crowd it ended up being about 4,000 maybe 5,000 people total. They had around 3,000 tickets but they had a huge crowd outside that couldn't fit in. The crowd was really fired up and it was great to know the press was set up behind the crowd. I believe it has something to do with the incident earlier this week in Illinois.
David mcintosh kissed his wife on stage, something of a mockery of algore the crowd loved it. DICK lugar didnt show, I really dont care for him much since he isnt very progun, but I can say he wasnt missed.
Bush showed up late, but gave a great speech and really fired up the crowd it was great. He shook hands after the speech and left, but his wife stuck around and was just having a ball talking to everyone, until most of the crowd left, but she was still there. What a genuine person, I am sure Hillary wouldn't have done that!
As we were leaving we grabbed about 100 or so bumper sticker for all the candidates, they were free. We told them we are going to be giving them out at the upcoming gun show in south bend (sep. 30-oct. 1) and they said hey take more, so it was great. I wore my my president is charlton heston shirt and got many many compliments. It was a real joy talking with everyone in line and other like minded people. Many NRA hats and members there. Plus two cops from bloomington standing behind us...It was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
