I'm not sure why,as i've never held or even seen one in person.I hear they have lousy triggers and aren't very accurate and still i have problems keeping my wallet in my pocket.WHY?????

otomik

maybe the HS2000, but personally I couldn't possibly buy anything with "Xtreme" in it's title. X is a good looking dynamic letter calligraphically speaking, but it's really overdone by marketing people everywhere. When are we going to have all names prefaced by an "Xtreme"?

Have seen them, but never shot one.

Are you aware of the CZ Forum .. www.CZForum.com ... which has an entire user group dedicated to the CZ 100 ?

Lots of good reviews .. will probably end up buying one some day myself.

Oto .. I'm with you with the HS 2000 "Xtreme" name thing. Always wondered how it would sound to a Jury to have guns named in that manner. "Here we have the gun, exhibit A, an Xtreme, with which Mr. Y shot Mr. Z with after he broke into his house. Here are the spare mags .. who in the world needs 4 spare mags? He must be one of those "gun freaks" ...

The name alone may make you sound as though you were just itching for a fight!

It's a crazy world.  :p :D

I've fired a friend's CZ-100 9mm. It felt good in my hand, pointed naturally, and made pretty good groups, once I got accustomed to the lousy trigger. The trigger boggles the mind.

If they ever import the CZ-110 DA/SA version, it will be on my, "must have" list.

I want a CZ 100 too.....But I'm going to wait for the CZ 110
or for CZ to come out with a revised version of the 100 with an 8lbs. trigger instead of the 11 or 12 it come with now ... From what I have read the trigger improves after many firings but cannot be improved by even the finest gunsmith...I have held one , never fired one, and it is very slim in my opinion and would make a very concealable carry piece

I rent a CZ 100 at a local range. I dont see the trigger problem. I have 2 DAO guns and all of the triggers are just different. The CZ 100 trigger is smooth, light and very long to pull, at least on the rental gun. The also have an XD...rented it and Ill take the 100 over the Springfield. Its smaller and I like the design better.
Shoot them both and decide then.....

Dont wait for the 110 to be imported anytime soon, according to CZ circles...its been put on the back burner by CZUB. Thought it was worth mentioning.

Shoot well

Go with CZ-100!

Who said that 100 is not accurate, maybe not as accurate as CZ-75 because CZ-100 has only 3 3/4" barrel (I can still hit the bulls eye). It has a DAO trigger (long, smooth and light), firing pin block (prevents accidental firing), loaded chamber indicator, fits medium-size hand well, eats every ammo I've put (reliable), steel slide and polymer frame (weigh about 25 oz or 1 lb), and price is cheap (as compare to Glock).

When I first looked at a CZ100 I had absolutely no interest in it. It is ugly and like all DAO guns (except, perhaps, the Kahrs) it has a horrible trigger pull.

Now I must have one, and soon. It is a CZ which means the quality is great, the price is very good and the value is as good as it gets. The trigger for a DAO gun (dry fire at the store only, there are no rentals for this gun around here) is as good as any and better than the ever popular Glock. The gun felt well made (as well as you can tell at the store). It felt good in my hand and it was very light (felt lighter than it is) and thin. When I move to a CCW state I think this gun will be the perfect CCW gun. Small, light, thin, simple (DAO, not a lot of safeties to worry about) and being a CZ it should be accurate and reliable.

I just may not be able to control myself. What is it about the trigger thats unusual for a DAO?
I've heard that "boggles the mind" statement before.

Dude,

Trust me, that trigger on the CZ100 will make the trigger on your Hi Point seem dreamy. Go with the CZ75B or CZ75SA. TRUST ME.

DAO has long and consistent trigger pull for all round, no need to adjust. Sorry I forgot to say, CZ-100 has a second strike capability unlike Glock. You need to thrust nobody than yourself, you life will depend on your decision. We just give you the option.

I had to readjust my trigger finger a few times, because I kept running out of finger travel. The effort also seemed to increase just before it broke, almost like there was something binding.

For comparison, we were also shooting the same friend's Berreta 96 DAO, wich I found bad, but not as bad as the CZ-100.

Did anyone try asking CZ-USA if there is any reason the CZ-100 cannot be modified to CZ-110 (traditional DA/SA) spec and thus solve the problem of the DAO trigger? The folks at CZ, particularly their head gunsmith Mike, are very reasonable when it comes to entertaining special requests.
The parts diagrams looked nearly identical so its probably just some sear/striker parts. Even if it required something as drastic as a different slide assembly, CZ-100's are only $290 dealer price. The entire cost of the pistol and the conversion is likely to be less than other similar pistols.

My basic problems with the 100's trigger was that it was too long. The serrations were also irritating to the finger, particularly under recoil(.40S&W) Yes, mine also seemed to have a hitch right at the end of the pull, but then again, that was a clear indication that the shot was about to break.;) Someone mentioned the DAO Beretta's trigger. It is light-years ahead of that CZ.

Had some English instructions for detainling the gun been available, I might have kept it in the hopes of cleaning it up some, and modifying the trigger. Mike at CZ may be agreeable to that, if it should bother you.
