I picked up 2 new revolvers in the last couple days

I was out at a few LGS in the last couple of days, and found 2 revolvers that I've been wanting for pretty good prices, so I bought them.

I got a NIB Ruger LCR .357 magnum for $445, and a NIB NAA .22 magnum mini revolver for $179.

The Ruger LCR is a gun that I've been wanting to get to carry when I'm out backpacking. I do a lot of hiking and backpacking, so I've been wanting to get a light .357 magnum to carry with me.

The NAA .22 magnum mini revolver will be my backup gun to my main CCW, the XDs .45. If for some reason my XDs went down, at least I'd have something else. A .22 magnum beats having nothing:D

+1 to a range report.

I've mentioned several times I got to shoot 158 grain .357 magnums out of the LCR and won't do it anymore. 125 grain .357 magnums are my limit and shooting one box per range outing would probably be my limit. But YMMV, I freely admit others are more recoil tolerant than I am.

2 good choices. The Ruger is certainly light and rugged, perfect for backpacking if the focus is defense against 2 and 4-legged predators.
It's not much of a plinker and good luck taking a rabbit with it, but for self defense it's tops.

The NAA mini is one of the better ideas for arming oneself, IMO.
I feel everyone should have one, either as a pocket companion to a larger rig or for those occasions where you just can't carry a larger rig.

Good prices on both of those.

I shoot only .38s out of my LCR .357. Magnums pretty harsh. With .38s, though, it is the BEST pocket revolver out there.

I usually am able to find .22 magnum ammo locally once in awhile, as well as online. I don't plan on shooting the NAA revolver a whole lot, so 2-3 boxes of ammo will be plenty for me.

I carry an NAA Pug at home and when wandering the neighborhood with my dog ... you barely know it's there ... NAA makes a great product for a fair price, thinking of getting one of the new sidewinders.

I had a NAA Pug .22 magnum years ago, and ended up selling it. I have been wanting to get another one since then. The price was right on this one, which is why I bought it.
I was able to order 1 box of Hornady 30gr vmax .22 magnum from the Cabela's website, but other than that, I haven't seen any around here for the last 2 months.

It's a shame that the new LRCx is not chambered in 357 mag yet. I would prefer the hammer on a gun to pack around in the woods. Also hoping the 22LR version will eventually be offered with the hammer.

But anyway, I think you made a good choice for a light gun to pack in the woods for defensive purposes. I keep looking at the NAA revolvers, but I see them over $200 around here and I won't pay that. But I know, it's only $20 or so more.

I bought the LCR 2 weeks ago. Awesome gun. My wife likes this one the best and she carries it.

Was listed at 419 at LGS and haggled with a cash price for 399

I recently bought the LCR in .357 Mag. I have no plans on shooting .38's in it, that's why I got the Magnum. As I like to pocket carry, the original grip is just a little too large. I swapped it out for the Hogue Boot Grip. It works much better for pocket carry.
My first time shooting it, I shot 50 rounds of 158 gr Speer ammo. The little lightweight is pretty snappy but manageable. The trigger is one of the best out of the box triggers I've seen. So far, I've put 200 rounds through it. Soon, I'll settle down and just shoot a couple of cylinders at each range trip to make sure everything is OK. I'm liking the little revolver.
