I need three things:

A gunsmith that can do a refinishing job, cheaply. Actually, once I really go over it, it may turn out just to be a clean up job because I don't know if there are any bad spots on it. I kinda like the "old worn look".

Second: A place for parts. I want to stock up on parts for both of them and I may just have to buy the "gunsmith special" from SARCO for one of them.

Third: A listing of interchangable 1911 parts to the gun that is a Star with some 1911 features.

Main gun I've taking about: Ballister Molina

Second gun for parts: Model Super 9mm Largo

"...interchangable 1911 parts to the gun that is a Star..." None, as far as I know.
Gunparts has some Ballester parts. That'd be a redesigned Argentinian made .45 Government copy. Not necessarily junk.
Here's a forum for it. http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/mb/surplusrifle?forum=4905
Here's a good info page. http://www.sightm1911.com/lib/history/ballester.htm

"...Model Super 9mm Largo..." Gunparts has very few parts for it. 9mm Largo is the calibre/cartridge.

Reasonably priced loaded ammo listed here. http://www.the-armory.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/9mm_ammo.html

three things

Dear Shooter:
I like the idea you're thinking about a Ballister Molina; they are a sneered at gun by many smiths but I like the Ballister.
Contrary to popular belief (I used to believe it) they aren't from the battleship Graf-Spree.
The steel was furnished by the U.S. or the British; the Ballisters were used by British special forces.
Have fun. Harry B
