I need some info on SR9s

When were SR9s stopped from being imported? Can a pistol grip stock be put on a SR9 that has a thumbhole stock? Ive seen some SR9s with wood furniture did some SR9s come with this or were they aftermarket parts? I also saw one that said it was a SR9 teflon, were some made with a teflon finish or was it a refinish?
 
I don't know when HK quit importing the SR9 series rifles, but it was some time ago. They were never common guns.

Any HK91/G3 stock can be put on the SR9. Obviously, this allows almost infinate variations when all the G3 components out there are factored in. To the best of my knowledge, only the thumbhole (gag...), the HK91A2, MSG90, and PSG1 stocks came on SR9s from the factory.

The SR9 has the same finish as the late model HK91. It's some weirdo epoxy/phosphate coating. It is highly corrosion resistant, if not particularily durable. I've seen HKs refinished in any number of ways, so you're liable to run into anything.
