I need some help.

I just got this gun from my father who passed away awhile back. I can't identify it all. I've looked everywhere. I know CMC is colt, but I can't find a Colt, a Colt replica, a Colt kit, or anything that looks remotely like this. Even if the gun was made yesterday I want to know what it is and who made it.

Seems like EMF used to market a gun like that called the snake eyes, but I can't remember for sure. Good luck on your quest! I also don't think Colt ever used CMC as a trademark.

I found it. I guess it's an older model of a snake-eyes esque gun. There's some very subtle differences, but it's essentially the same gun.

Little percussion double barrel kit from the 70's or 80's. Not an exact replica of any particular gun from the 19th century, just "inspired" by some of them. I think they might be some odd caliber like .28 or maybe up to .32 cal. I remember there were several little kit guns like that that came in styrofoam packing back then. I thought it might be a CVA kit but perhaps not. Not particularly valuable but maybe fun to shoot at tin cans, big ones so you won't miss as it is smoothbore, I am sure. Might sell for 25-40$ used, nowadays I suppose. Maybe more at a gunshow. Everything sells for more at a gunshow. Or the asking prices will be more. Get some black powder and caps and make some noise at new years or something. Wow I finally clicked the link above. 127$? Man, my limit would be what I have stated here. I would spend that much for something else besides a brass noismaker gun.

I've had one that I got in the mid 70's. 36 cal cap and ball snake eyes. Not worth much. My father got one back then too and it's still in the packing, never assembled.
