my boss has a M14 he wants to sell, its a springfeild standard set up like the USGI's. serial is 0603XX.
he wants $1350 for it, two mags, 180 rd.s Match ammo and a 3X9 simmons scope. the bore is exellent and the overall condition of the gun is very good. it has been sitting in our armory at work and has not been fired since '96.
is this a good deal? what should i offer him?

Depending on the barrel life remaining, that sounds like a very good deal

I'ld check that first, although it sounds like an M1A. Regardless, it sounds like a pretty good offer.

i'll be at the gunshow w/ it sun in charlotte NC and have it looked at/ appraised before i make the deal.

XX- sounds like a good deal. However, if you've never fired one, the recoil is murder...was for me, anyway.
