If you were not convicted nor did you plead guilty or nolo contendre, generally you should be able to get a CCW permit in most any state.
Information about your particular state and/or the permitting state you plan to seek will help, as will the exact disposition of your case (were you found not guilty, etc.).

You should be fine. Was charged, tried and found Not Guilty of a gun crime in that state. I was told by my attorney and the Chief of police I would have no trouble getting my license. I moved instead
Check out the Green Town/Red Town list (US Gun Law site iirc)
Some places like Worcester and Boston (there are many others) will not issue a CCW, they may 'B-Ram' you or give you a limited Class A for 'Sporting and Target Practice Only'
Also, go visit your Chief first and have a chat with him and see what he says.
it is extremely possible the OP could run into issues attaining a CCW in Mass. Not to mention Mass has two different kinds of CCWs: Class B and Class A. They will try to give him Class B if they accept him in which case the OP would lose. Hang in there.
