Thanks. That's what I was thinking due to the "scalloped recoil shield". Is that the technical term for that? Recoil shield? I never knew what that was called exactly. In my head, I always referred to it as the cylinder guard. Recoil shield makes sense though.
Due to my not knowing what it was technically called, I was never able to search and track down any information regarding the frame redesign. I know high back and low back versions exist with the full size, half dome, non scalloped (again, not really sure the exact term) recoil shield. I wasn't sure if the scalloped version was only exclusive to later models or if they existed on low back versions as well.
Does anyone have any info on what year they started going to the scalloped recoil shield?
