I need held indentifying a HAROLD F. KENT -ENGRAVER.

I have a S&W k-38 date 1951 engraved by Harold F. Kent anyone ever hear of him?

Grief that is pretty. Can you imagine the amount of time that went into that project. Good for BBQ.

Although I never had much interest in or collected engraved firearms, it's been my experience that a gun engraved by a "factory" or "known" engraver, makes all the difference in the world. Engraving lacking in esthetics, tends to have a negative affect on a firearms value.
 
Can't help with the name, but I am willing to bet that the gun is not S&W factory engraved. The quality and design are not the factory type and S&W engravers always leave an unengraved ring around the cylinder so that the cylinder stop would not mar the engraving. (Contrary to many engravers, factory engravers always figured they were making working guns pretty, not making working guns into show guns.)
