You're right. They are completely useless to you. I'll gladly pay for the scrap value of the metal, shipping costs, and even FFL fees, sight unseen. I'm very generous in that way.

Don't think of them as useless guns, think of them as pretty sticks or maybe batons, fence post, lamp base, or purchase a laser bore sight tool and convert them to laser pointers.

I've bought a .22LR conversion kit for my Glock 17, a Heritage Rough Rider in .22LR, and a Ruger SR101 in .22LR this year, and I'm considering a Ruger 22/45.

Despite the shortage I have bought and fired more .22LR than anything else this year.
