I love you mr. spider *barf*

I flipped on the TV and there was this show on PBS called "Tots". It is very annoying, but generally harmless. Still, today's show the lady that lives near the tots was looking for a spider, and she found one in the tub. She walked off to get something to catch it with and the tots came in and sang a song to it. It was SO stupid. They sang how the spider was their special friend and how much they loved it. If that spider was even as big as a dog it would have them for lunch without a second thought. Also, teaching kids to handle spiders is not a good idea, there are some places in this world where spiders can kill, or at least greatly sicken, even full sized adults, and certainly could kill kids. I don't see why we have to make the kids feel that every animal out there is human. I mean, the next generation is gonna grow up and be even worse than PETA. Who knows, maybe in 2016, Chelsey Clinton will be running for president(ahahahahahahaa) and will win and then pass laws outlawing the killing of spiders :)

Damn hippies.

That was Tiny :D I HATE that show! My daughter watched it for like a year. I always thought they were just as creepy as the Teletubbies. Gotta love that green hair, and if you notice their legs are REALLY creepy! EWE now I am going to have nightmares about them again. How about Tilly, the one that doesn't speak a word of english? I don't see that as educational when they don't translate it for the kids.

Oh No, Dangus is starting to sound like Frank the Spank. Wonder what ever happened to him anyway, he's probably been banned from every site on the internet by now.

"Come here litte Brown Recluse spider. You're so cute." That's the message and it's wrong.

Some years ago I visited a neighbor's house. One of his kids ran up to me and asked if I wanted to see his new pet. "Sure," I said. The kid showed me a little jar and inside was the biggest Black Widow spider I've ever seen. I promptly told the father and asked him to kill it. The guy refused, saying that it was just a spider. What a dufus. Thankfully the kids weren't bitten as they soon tired of their pet and threw it away.

"Get yourself a Lorcin and lose that nickel plated sissy pistol."

hahahahaaha.

No, I've not become Frank's successor. He really went off the deep end. I'm not really sure what's become of him. He even managed to get kicked of Ars Technica. Ars is a VERY hard place to get banned from, but he just couldn't keep his damn mouth shut. Whatever he's up to I wish him well though. He was funny at least.

don't take this wrong...generally I won't kill spiders. They are much nicer to have around than roaches. :) Blavk Widows...outside and not on my property I'll leave them be. Same with any other spider, snake or whatever-live and let live [[to some extent]] But I agree-most of the kids shows on the tube are brain-deadening. Not like the old Warner Bros stuff with Bugs Bunny. ;)

Dangus,

Yep, he was damn funny, wonder how many of those socialist were kept up at night in a fit of rage foaming @ the mouth ?

You know who caused this problem, don't you? Disney! My mother made this point to me about ten years ago when I was yelling about the animal rights wackos. It started with Bambi and the eeeevil hunter and it's just gotten worse. All these animal characters acting like people and the children and parents eat it up. Then they go out into the woods and want to pet the cute little bear and get mauled. Serves them right!

The first step is registration, the second step is confiscation, the final step is subjugation.

If these people get their wish, they may regret it. The critters can make a country very inhospitable. Read Exodus 23:28-29.

Yep. Do you remember the line in the movie "Blazing Saddles" "You`d do it for Randolph Scott?" That`s the way I feel about Bugs Bunny. A national treasure.

Personally I totally HATE spiders, I am paranoid of them, I had one land on the inside of my glasses one time and have not been able t get over it. Whenever I even think of them anymore I look up at the cieling by reaction. Still, if a catch one in my house and it's practical, I will capture it and through it outside. Spiders kill bugs and that's a worthy service. Plus if you smash every bug that comes into the house you get to a point some day that you find bug legs and heads and stuff like that all over the place, even vacuuming and dusting doesn't seem to always get them all. As for ants. I always ruthlessly kill the first wave of them, because I know those are the ones that lay the scent trail. I probably actually save a lot of ants by doing so, because I prevent others from coming in as well. PETA people can't understand the concept of sacrifice. They have elevated animals to sacred, and people even are beneath them. Well, the unfortunate news for them is that even people at some point are expendable. If I have a choice of hitting a crowd of schoolchildren by accident, or some guy on the sidewalk, that guy become expendable. That's just how it is, there's cases where you have to make terrible choices in life, and not everyone makes it. Doctors do it a lot. During war, on Omaha beach, if you were shot in the leg there was a good chance the medics would pass you by as not being wounded enough to bother with, they had bigger problems to deal with. These people think they can create this magical world where deer can reproduce by the trillions, cats and dogs won't need neutered, and people will always get medical help when they need it. They are just deluded and pathetic. Some of them really care, but they start down that slipery slope of stupidity and just tumble ever more into complete insanity. It's a waste really. If we could get all that energy directed towards our issues we'd have a repeal of the NFA in no time.

We need a national get-together, it works for the antis and other crazies. Why can't we do it? I know, we'll promote guns as a way to defend your deer from poachers (hahahahahahaa). That will get PETA on our side for sure, lol

Dangus,
I can see the next edition of the Darwin Awards:
-First prize for the 2000 Darwin Awards goes to Joe Peta , who took his love for animals and their right to defend themselves a bit too far. Although Joe was basically anti-gun it seems he managed enough moral gymnastics to convince himself to purchase a 9mm pistol to help one of his four-legged friends.
Old Joe had the foresight to rig up a dummy device to train one of his deer friends before attaching the real thing but it turns out the deer was smarter than he realized... or at least less grateful. Upon noticing a predator (such as a nasty hunter trying to sneak up on the poor unsuspecting wildlife) the male deer was conditioned to point his nose in the direction of danger and raised his ears, which were attached by fishing line to the trigger of the semi-automatic pistol. Joe would dress up as a hunter and approach the deer, then give him a food reward when the buck looked in his direction and lifted his ears.
Unfortunately for Joe, when he attached the real handgun with the help of his friend Mary, the buck did exactly what Joe had trained it to do- look at Joe and lift its ears, firing a shot. The buck's aim was low but lethal, striking Joe near the groin and severing the femoral artery.
" That was probably because he kept the treats in his hip pocket," Mary later explained to investigators. " He thought he was doing the right thing and would get his reward just like he always did."
According to Mary (last name unknown) the deer, frightened by the report of the pistol, bounded away into the underbrush, leaving her and a rapidly bleeding-out Joe next to their Volkswagon. Mary called for emergency help on her cell phone but they were not in time to save poor Joe.
No charges have been reported filed and the deer remains on the loose. Local police have warned local hunters and posted signs telling people not to attempt to approach or feed wild deer.

-Can't you just see that in your head?BANG! :D

Scud and Dangus, "Frank the Spank" is alive and well and posting on AR15. He is still the same old Frank....funny in that way that makes one want to just hug him.....until he can no longer breath. :D :D :D

Personally I would like to throw a live rattle snake in a closet with some of these "love-all-of-Gods-little-creatures" types and let them domesticate it.

If they think that spiders are cute and cuddley all they have to do is take a look at my Dad's legs. He got bit by a black widow when he was my age, and has flobitus (sp?) really bad now. His legs are all grey and black.

Squish the damn things every time I see them.

And I know that no PETA members have ever worked on a dairy farm with real live cows. You raise them, you name them, you eat them, they taste good, you get used to it. :)

Some of those insect poisons aren't even deadly, many of them are designed to keep the victim insect alive for several months in a coma. The whole idea is the paralyzed insect's organs will keep it fresh while it is wrapped up in the web. Kinda nasty, but true. Considering this, a lot of spider poison can do some very subtle, but very permanent long term nerve damage. They are not your friend, they are not cool to play with.
