I Just Joined the NRA

I'd been meaning to do so for some time, but as a graduate student I don't have lots of extra money. And I don't agree with some of the compromise attitude of the organization. But I guess I decided that it was time to put my money where my mouth is. I also gave my brother a gift membership, as he is also a supporter, but not one to be very involved. He's in a union, and was considering voting for Gore until I explained to him how Gore was no friend of our 2nd Amendment rights. So hopefully his subscription will keep him focused on the importance of this issue.

I thought I'd resurrect this thread from a few years ago to let you all know that I became a life member after the expiration of the AWB. Now that I'm done with grad and law school, money is not so tight, and $750 seemed like an okay deal, especially considering the leather jacket. My brother remains an annual member, and his son (my nephew) is on the easy pay life system (he's 2 years old). This time around there was no question who my brother, who lives in Ohio, was voting for. This holiday season remember that the RKBA makes a great gift that keeps on giving.

Congratulations !!!

I upgraded to Life the end of October using the NRA site and I have one thing to say "WHAT LEATHER JACKET?"
Heck, I didn't even get a hat, not that anybody makes a hat that fits my big head.

Okay, I just called the NRA. The jacket and hat are on the way. The problem with the freebees was due to their web site, etc. She was most helpful and stunningly efficient.
