And that's WITH the guns and OTHER ammo already in it.

DAMN that was arranged awful. :o
 
Are they full of .50 ammo or just other ammo and guns?

Don't really see the need to store ammo in a can inside of a safe unless there are other reasons for it. As long as the seal on the can is good it will protect whatever is inside of it. Probably better than the safe and if you add the moisture absorbing packets.
 
Problem was getting TO the ammo I wanted.
I had them labeled but stacking and unstacking was the pits.
 
True.

I try to keep it stacked by the same caliber and whether or not it's range safe. Keeps the whole stacking thing to a minimum when necessary.

I scored 4 internally padded cans used for night vision something. Best I can tell about the size of a 60mm can, so a really tall regular ammo can. Bigger is better right??
I cleaned them up an decided to fill it with little boxes of 22. Time passed and it was full. Now I can barely move it. I'll stick to the small ones next time.
 
I bought some flare boxes a while back that are about twice the volume of 50 cal boxes. Spoiled me.

I don't keep any of mine in safes. I do cable lock them.
