I Guess Nobody Uses Turkish Shotguns

I just bought a 12 ga Sarsilmaz Boeing. I've started training myself with this equipment at the local firing range.

Has anyone ever used one in the forum? What would be your thoughts?

Is there a way that I could extend the magazine tube? I'm not happy with the 5+1 capacity since I have to reload to finish off the targets.

Thanks for the post.

I'm a beginner and would not now the first thing about quality shotguns. I'm expecting that I will "outgrow" this shotgun. What would be the logical next step in choosing the next shotgun that I would purchase?

Your next one will depend on your purpose - as versatile as a shotgun CAN be, there are also very specific models designed for one purpose. Many will tout the ability of a pump to do many things - the caveat is that it can do many things, just not that well as other guns designed for specific purposes (and I'll get flamed for saying that) If you look at tournament shooters, you'll see specific purpose guns built to do one thing. Folks who shoot trap versus skeet versus sporting clays versus box pigeons, versus turkey, versus home defense, etc., ad nauseum may try to use one gun, but sometimes it is not the best thing.

I have just procured a light 20 gauge SxS - can I use it for many of the things described above? Sure, but what will it be best at? Quail over dogs....

Greetings don922, and welcome aboard... what are you shooting that requires five or more hits?

Who imported your shotgun? CD, LSI, H&R NEF, Weatherby

Most Turkish made shotguns have Benelli Nova mag tube threads. Nova tube extensions should fit. The length will be too short or too long.

I'm in the Philippines and bought it from a Armscorp, a local dealer.

To answer the question on the target, the firing bay usually has 10 metal targets.

Thanks for your replies.

the UTAS factory in Turkey is where S&W had their Elite Gold SxS made, as did Kimber with their model. That is NOT the same as the Huglu factory where many different guns come from.
