WOOOHOOO. I always wanted one and I finally found one and had money at the same time. Now I needs some good 13rd Mags and Maybe Hogue Grips? I can't wait to shoot it! :))

Congratulations. The P228 is the jewel of all SIG Sauer pistols. I love them. Look far and wide for prebans. I'd start with Shotgun News as many folks without web sites advertise there. Then I'd hit the usual suspects like www.bachmangun.com I'd also keep my eyes open at the shows. Expect to pay top dollar.

Make sure to frequent www.sigforum.com

So many pistols, so little money.

Congrat's Cobraman; And welcome to the wonderful world of Sig-Sauer handguns.
I believe that after you shoot the P228;
you will want to add another Sig to the
family. Several good choices are still
out there; the 220, 226, and the 229,
just to name a few. :)

I prefer the P228 to the P226 but I wouldn't be ashamed to field either. I like the factory grips just fine. I think SIG knows what it is doing when it comes to grips. I gave my P226 grips to a friend and replaced them with wood grips from Eagle. I used them for a long time but had the chance to go back to the factory grips and that is what is now on my P226. Regards, Richard.

Good choice. I have a two-tone P228 that O love. Hogue grips and a sprinco recoil reducer make it an absolute dream to shoot. Enjoy yours, they're great pistols!
