And I cant find a spot that's comfortable all the time. For example, at 4-4:30 this holster kicks butt when I'm standing up/walking or sitting and leaning forward, but when I lean back in a chair its like I'm sitting on the gun a little.

And this is my first holster FWIW, any advice?

Your weight would be helpful.

I bought my kingtuk for ccw soon, I wear it around the yard/home. 3:30~4:30 any of those, no problems. It's like nothing there, and sitting is nice.

I am 130lbs

Looking at getting a crossbread for my 92fs in the same spot, right now I am using a cheap $20 nylon holster same spot, a little bulker but its okay.

Study the book.

The book???

I'm not sure what he's referencing either. I've worn holsters of one type or another for various handguns in le for decades but most have been for belt mounted holsters worn "conventionally" on the outside of my pants. Since my retirement I've had to adapt to a more "civilian" mode of carry in terms of a ccw and have been wearing iwb holsters for the past several years. The bad news is that an iwb holster-no matter who makes them-will never be as comfortable as an owb holster. The good news is that, imo, (1) your Galco "KingTuk" is one of the best of the many iwb holster iterations that I've tried and that (2) time and experimentation in terms of what specific holster position might be best for your body make-up will become apparent in due course.

For whatever it's worth, I have found that wearing the holster just behind the point of my hip is the most comfortable position for my particular body build (fat) that still allows me easy access to my weapon. As they say, ymmv-and probably will.

My answer to your question doesn't make sence to me either. I must have Posted erroneously. If I remember right I was responding to a question asking for tips to passing the gun safety test. Sorry.

I've carried an SR9C in the King Tuk for the Glock 19 (they fit fairly well and for tucked in CCW I'm not super concerned about the retention factor as I would be with partial open carry). I found it ok for walking/standing but not so hot in the car or seated. Still, no carry is 100% comfortable. How's your belt? I sue a Ranger Instructor style double lapped 1.5" heavy nylon belt and the extra support helps a lot.

I'm 5'8", 200 even. Yes, a lot fo that is extra weight in the midsection but also a lot of skull. Seriously, check my user name!
