I found a Marlin 336 centennial for sale in 30-30 for $325.00 and thought about buying it. I still might. The rifle is in excellent condition. No wear at all on the metal and some minor scratches on the stock. It has been stored in a safe for many years. The owner passed away several years back and his widow asked me if I would give her $325.00 as she now wants to reclaim the gun vault area of her den. She said she would not sell it to anyone else if I wanted it.
Ive never had a 336 or any lever gun for that matter and thought it might be a fun shooter. What do yall think? Good price? Any drawbacks to this gun?

Everyone needs at least one .30-30, and one lever gun...

Offer her $300, and you can have both in the same package for a good price...

Marlin 336 was my first rifle. It is the one I carry in bad weather. When i am frustrated with my shooting it is the one I pick up to reaffirm my shooting.

Buy it.
