Something to think about... These statistics were sent to me over several
forwardings. Please check them out for yourself if you have any questions.
I do not know who the original author is but if all this is true, we should
be very determined to fight for our rights to gun ownership.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about
20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million
Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, 13 million
Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and
exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million
political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan
Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000
Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million
'educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because
of gun control: 56 million.

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, ask them "Who do YOU
want to round up and exterminate?" With guns, we are citizens. Without them,
we are subjects.

P.S."Confidence is contagious. So is lack of confidence."

Something to think about... Don't let the liberal media control your mind
with their propaganda blitz. They want to blame crime on gun ownership to
justify eventual gun confiscation, but their soft on crime law enforcement
and pro-violence and immoral entertainment industry is the real cause.

Most of the politicians in both parties are controlled by the liberal
establishment. In effect, we have a one party system. They deserve academy
awards.

The Bible says, "A strong man armed protects his home."

The stats come from Rudi Russel's book "Death by Government." He's a PoliSci professor at the University of Hawaii. I'll find his web site and post it later.

Only one glitch that I see.
From looking at the before & after dates, one might conclude that "establishing gun control"=getting guns out of civilian hands.
Even if the gubmint outlawed the sale and possession of firearms tomorrow (who knows? they just might!) there will still be roughly 200,000,000 guns in civilian hands.

I do see the importance of the stat's, and it is frightening, but the fact remains that if the gubmint wants to kill/imprison they will do so no matter how many AR's you own.

They have superior firepower, and more manpower.

I guess I'm rambling, I just wanted to point out that gun control really doesn't do anything to the actual numbers of firearms in "circulation".

I disagree. The manpower they have is made up of mostly people like you and I. When it comes to "the big gungrab" I truly believe that a real majority of their manpower will go AWOL or actually I guess that it will be called desertion. I got out a year ago and the quality of the troops has diminished way too much in the last 6 years. The ones that will be left will be the sheeple that can't think for themselves and wanted to go in the military ONLY for the GI Bill. Those "soldiers" don't worry me too much at all. This isn't supposed to be a flame, I just really hate to see what's gonna happen to these people when TSHTF. I think the Feds have gotten themselves in pretty deep as far as personnel goes. And they did it to themselves.

Kframe,
“gun control really doesn't do anything to the actual numbers of firearms in
"circulation".”

I fear gun control will cause many “good Americans” to turn in their guns. Many more will hide them and won’t ever use them again - no matter what happens.

Confiscation, fair wear and tear and lack of parts and ammunition could make
many guns useless.

In any case, gun control is a violation of human rights. It’s also against our
Constitution.

The same government who prosecutes corporations for violating their
corporate constitution refuses to comply with the greatest Constitution of our
land. On what grounds then, should we trust them?

Huke,
“... the quality of the troops has diminished ... sheeple that can't think for
themselves ... “

That’s why they worry me - they don’t think. I fear there will be great
numbers who will believe civilians are “terrorists” and the army is “just
following orders”. Some even will enjoy being able to arrest, injure, torture and kill “terrorists” who can’t fight back. It all has happened too many times.....

Good point, I guess I shouldn't say they don't worry me so much as I think they will be way out-numbered by those who don't see us as terrorists. Of course I am not paid to think ;) .

Huke, I see your point.
But, at the beginning of the Gun Grab, the targets will be owners of multiple "assault-weapons" "hi-capacity" handguns, and owners of "arsenals".
Since those people are already vilified in the media and the public conciousness, there WILL be heavily armed "strike forces" to assist in the confiscation of those persons firearms.

I do think you are right though, that in the following months when 'they' are going after the duck hunter that only owns a 16ga Belgian A-5, 'their' ranks will diminish.
Partly because some of 'them' will see the error of what's happening, and others are going to be discouraged by the heavy casualties inflicted by the law-abiding owners of 'arsenals' that have thought ahead and planned for such an event.

Who knows what will constitute an 'arsenal' but I'm willing to bet that if your name and "AR-15", "SKS", "AK...", "Glock", "Calico", "Tec-...", "Mini-..." appear anywhere on the same yellow paper, you will be an early target.
Also, if your name is on more than five yellow's, or three within the same five year period you might well be worried.

Sure, the actual criteria might be a bit different, but I think you get the idea.

All I know is that I'm worried, and I don't think it's silly paranoia.
This is serious.
