Went to the range last night. First time since dislocating my shoulder. Shooting skills have suffered.
Left range, wandered over to the handgun counters and there it was, a CZ-75B. I had a Frankenstein 1911 with me that was a tack driver when it worked, but it just wasn't reliable no matter what I tried. Swapped Frankengun for CZ-75.
Took aforementioned CZ-75 to range earlier today. At 15 yds 15 rounds went into two inches. Fired 200 rounds of assorded jhp's and ball. I'm a happy camper, however POI is four inches above POA at that range. Now I have CZ fever, yet as I walked off I saw Frank at the counter and could practically hear him calling me. I miss the old fellow.
Now I need a taller front sight. I really don't feel like sending it back to CZ, since they do their height adjustments on the rear sight. Any ideas who could mill the slide for a front dovetailed Novak? Novak's won't.
I've seen Stephen Camp's pics of his CZ-75 and it looks sweet, but I've been trying to get in touch with Kurt Wickmann for a while and have been unable to do so. Any suggestions
Thanks
