Thanks fo the replies. I will try to answer the questions and provide a brief "Pre-Shoot" listing of the Pros and Cons of my CZ97b.
I bought the gun from the CZ Connection. I am a ATL Metro resident, so I picked the gun up in person. I was given a more than reasonable deal, and will definately continue to do business at the CZ Connection in the future.
I have not yet shot my CZ-97b yet. Again, I have this bad habit of buying guns and never shooting them as I have several "new never fired" pistols laying around.
Pros and Cons of the CZ-97b.
Pros:
-The trigger and action feel really smooth.
-Large size/weight, meaning it should be a steady gun to shoot.
-Has a very classy style to it. Reminds me of the Miami Vice Bren Ten.
-Very sturdy gun. Full slide rails, lots of steel, and a stainless barrel.
-Love the screw on barrel bushing.
-The CZ "Polymer" finish appears to be very durable.
-Nice position of the Loaded Chamber Indicator. Easy to feel by touch alone.
-Cool factory test target/specs included.
Cons:
-My CZ-97b came with some very minor hairline scratches on the frame. I doubt it came frm the factory like this. Possibly scratched in shipping or at the dealer. Unless you are in really good light or sing a magnifiying glass, they are not noticable.
-"Only" 10 rounds of 45 ACP for this big gun? My little polymer PT145 carrys 10+1 and that gun is MUCH thinner, and smaller than the CZ-97b. I wish I could get at least 15 round mags for this gun.
-Moderate gap between grip base and magazine.
-Slide release is a very far reach, and I do have large hands.
Well, that is about all I can think of right off hand. The Pros on this gun FAR outweigh the Cons. I had to actually look/think pretty hard to discover the Cons listed above. Now I just need to take my new guns to the range and get with the program.......
