I always love going to my favorite LGS

So when I went by to pick up my Christmas gift at my favorite FFL, I asked one of the owners, Steve, if we could go in the back and show me what projects they've got going on back in the lab. All cool stuff, and never fails to disappoint. He's become quite the kydex artist and, as always, the hydrographic stuff is cool to look at. What about your favorite local guys to go to? Who else does cool gunsmithing/coating/anything projects?

I never thought of it that way. Hmmm. I guess my favorite place really doesn't do anything cool. Kinda small, smells ok, no real new literature or accessories. But he always says hi to me like he means it. He doesn't make me feel like I'm not good enough for his store or make me feel uncomfortable asking questions.
I go out of my way to do business with him. I put good online reviews up to combat the people who think he actually makes the guns or can wave a hand an fix stuff.
The only time I see him go in the back room is to get my order or get a sandwich.
Sounds like you have an interesting place to go.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with a plane-jane LGS that does a good job and keeps a nice store. We need more of them out there.
