Hypothetical Question...

I was just sitting around, and I found myself inspired to ask everyone a hypothetical question.

If you could own any weapon, without regard for the bans on automatic weapons, SBRs, etc. what would it be?

For me, it's a Heckler and Kock HK53, with red dot sight, collaspable stock and vertical foregrip.:)

I would have operational set in my yard in the middle of nothing former military range in the west.

The USS NJ is in my backyard (figurativly) already, with 9 of those.

I want a mini gun with unlimited supply of ammo.

  1. Thompson M1
  2. Hotchkiss Mountain Gun
  3. M1 Carbine (OK I know it's not restricted exactly but I'd sure like to get those cheaper Korean M1's back home!)

German MP40 or a Swedish M45. A German STG44 would be next. 9mm is a lot cheaper to shoot, especially when it comes to guns with appetites.

Those miniguns are cool, but you need to be in the top 1% income bracket to be able to afford to feed them. 3000+ rpm tends to empty the foot locker sized magazine pretty quick, so youd better be buying by the trailer load. :)

I've got not much use for full-auto.

A good looking, über-accurate bolt action rifle with gorgeous wood is my thing.

Barring that, well....

"ideal" guns....

A few firearms, I'd want if designs, laws & $$$ were no problems;
A "left hand format" ASP in .357sig with tritium type sights.
A Serbu Super Shorty 12ga 870 type shotgun(left hand).
A DAK type SIG Sauer P225/P6 in .357sig, with Trijicon HD night sights & a 1913 tactical rail. A spare barrel in .40S&W would be good too. ;)
A full auto/select fire FN SCAR in 7.62mmNATO.
A HK45compact in LEM, .45acp with night sights.
A left hand 1911a1 with custom features; grips, ambi safety, S&A ambi mag release, Trijicon HD or 10-8 night sights, & Wilson stainless 8td .45acp magazines.
A full auto BAR in 30/06. Like in Public Enemies; www.imfdb.org .
A 24k gold Desert Eagle mk19 .50AE; the new format with a Hogue grip, 1913 rail and new magazine release.
A Robar NP3+ treated Desert Eagle .44magnum with NP3+ magazines(03).
A Ruger AK Super RedHawk in .44magnum with a Hybraported barrel & CT Lasergrip. I'd also have the ported AK snub treated with NP3+.

I could go on... ;).

This is an easy one, for full auto fun I would like a 1927 A1 Thompson because I can feed it cheaply.

The other gun I would like to have is a supressed Ruger MK II. What an awesome trailwalking gun that would be and very practical.

A very very expensive gun, which I could sell and purchase lots of somewhat expensive guns, land to hunt on, and a nice fishing boat.

I'd want something that would work close in and at longer ranges and the sub guns don't work very well pass 100 yards.

I was just thinking about how much I liked the M60 (MG not the MBT).

I know they've been replaced for the most part, but I thought they were solid. And actually you could do some fairly long range shooting with them. They certainly worked close in.

After that, I would take the Tubbs 2000 in .338 Lapua, although the Creedmoor would be good too.
